Melissa Melson

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native Melissa Melson, age 38, was born May 16, 1985 and died March 5, 2024 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN following a sudden illness. A waitress at LaCazona, she was the daughter of Jennifer Manus of McMinnville and the late Jimmy D. Evans. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Earl and Pearlie Harper; grandfather, Ralph Melson and several aunts and uncles. In addition to her mother, Ms. Melson is survived by daughter, Kirsten (Raleigh) Woods of McMinnville; sons, Dakota Ferrell of Morrison, TN and Cristian Morales of Shelbyville, TN; step-father, Junior Manus of McMinnville; sister, Ashley Marlena Melson of McMinnville; nephews, Ethan Melson, Marco Melson and Alberto Lopez, all of McMinnville; niece, Destiny Melson of McMinnville and two aunts and several cousins. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 12, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Tasha Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
