Melvia Zean McCormick Blair, age 83, a Warren County, TN resident and native was born March 27, 1935 and passed away January 15, 2019 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness. She was a retired caregiver, member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late Amon and Wavie Priest McCormick. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Joe E. and Gina Blair of McMinnville, Ralph and Tammy Blair of Morrison and John and Sherri Blair of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Jenny and Jonathan Norris, Amy Blair, Julie and Trey Clark, John Adam Blair and Leta Nichole Elrod and Leah Blair and Michael Brewer; four great-grandchildren, Colter Norris, Peyton Norris, Brayton Blair and Jayce Clark; sisters, Carolyn Goforth, Linda Holder and Novie Ann Blair all of McMinnville; brother, Luke McCormick of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 in New Union Cemetery on Hwy. 30 with Derrick Stiles to officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Sunday at High’s. Memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
