Michael Anthony Martin

McMinnville resident and Dekalb County, TN native Michael Anthony Martin, age 62, was born March 2, 1959 and died July 15, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. A nurseryman and mechanic and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of Helen Marie Martin of McMinnville and the late R.D. Martin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Nannie Martin; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Minnie Bell Myers Scott and great-nephew, Devin Colt Mooneyham. In addition to his mother, Mr. Martin is survived by three children, R.D. Martin, Misty Beth Martin and Michael Jewell Martin all of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Jay Martin, Mikella Martin, Abbegail Martin, Haylee Martin and Serenity Martin; three brothers, Joe Glynn (Karen) Martin, Kenneth Lee Martin and Stephen Lloyd Martin (Danae) all of McMinnville; nieces and nephews, Shannon Jane Martin, Christie Ann Davis, Joel Allen Martin, Jason Wright, Sonjia Smith, Roger Lee Martin, Ryan Cope Martin, Stephen Austin Martin and Rowan Martin and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2021 in High's Chapel with Danny Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
