Michael Royce Cripps, Sr.

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Michael Royce Cripps, Sr., age 70, was born September 1, 1953 and died January 19, 2024 at St. Thomas Dekalb Hospital in Smithville, TN following an extended illness. 

A retired maintenance man with Raintree Manor and of the Baptist faith, he was the son of the late R.L. and Gladys Roller Cripps. He was married to Martha Jane Green Cripps, who preceded him in death. 

Mr. Cripps is survived by son, Michael Cripps, Jr.; daughters, Michelle (Chris) Matthews and Annabell Cripps; grandchildren, Keith Cripps, Ryan Cripps, Brian Matthews, Andrew Matthews and Sydney Matthews; special nephews, Cody Holman and Logan Holman and special nieces, Lillie Belle Holman and Brandi (Allen) Holman. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Rick Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
