Michelle Manning

Rock Island resident and Warren County native Michelle Manning, age 55, was born September 28, 1969 and died March 27, 2025 at her residence following a sudden illness.

An employee of Dollar General and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Julia Griffith Carter. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by uncle, Don Griffith and maternal grandparents, Hobart and Nora Lee Griffith.

She is survived by step-father, Doug Carter of the Bone Cave Community; uncle and aunt, Morris and Scarlet Griffith of McMinnville; aunt, Susie Griffith of McMinnville; several cousins and Josh Simmons.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. There will be no service or visitation held at High’s. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
