McMinnville resident and Warren County native Mike Hitchcock, age 81, was born December 21, 1943 and died April 10, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

A veteran of the United States Navy, retired floor finisher and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Edwin Olney and Robbie Winfred Hillis Hitchcock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Margaret Hitchcock.

He was married to Betty Hitchcock of McMinnville on August 21, 1965. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hitchcock is survived by children, Elaine (Nathan) Dauwalder of Mt. Juliet, TN and David (Jacqueline) Hitchcock and Mark (Lauren) Hitchcock, both of McMinnville; grandchildren, Grant Hitchcock, Ethan Hitchcock, Paul Dauwalder, Hudson Hitchcock and Hunter Hitchcock; brother, Allen (Bonnie) Hitchcock of McMinnville; sister, Martha (Jerry) McGregor of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 in High’s Chapel with John Turner and Cody Boston officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at High’s.

Full military honors will be administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Meals on Wheels.
