Mildred Eloise Hillis

Mildred Eloise Hillis, age 89, a Morrison, TN resident and Coffee County native was born September 30, 1930 and passed June 2, 2020 at Raintree Manor in McMinnville following a brief illness. She was a retired employee of Forest Nursery, a member of Trousdale Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Harvie Lee and Ruby Lee Freeze Young. She was also preceded in death by husband, Jenry V Hillis; sister, Oledia Mae Young; grandson-in-law, Gary Roberts. Mrs. Hillis is survived by children & spouses, Larry & Kathy Hillis of Lebanon, Deborah & Dwight Mason of Quebeck, Teresa & Robert Cope of McMinnville, Vickie Conte of Big Sur, CA; eight grandchildren, Nicole Roberts of Brentwood, Shellie and Mark Browning of Walling, Josh and Leah Hillis of Memphis, Augusta and Danny Cerio of Tullahoma, Lindsey and Zach Cowans of Centertown, Cory and Jenny Mason of Quebeck, Jared and Kayly Mason of Bone Cave and Jeremiah Conte of Atascadero, CA; five step-children, Brian and Jen Cope of Ft. Knox, KY, Bill and Shannon Cope of Murfreesboro, Josh Cope of Murfreesboro, Tammy and Nigel Hope of Coventry, England and Donnie Williams of Lebanon; sixteen great-grandchildren; ten step great-grandchildren and three great great-grandsons; sister, Wilma Cathy of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Wilma Hillis of Rock Island; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020 in High’s Chapel with Mike Ray and Rachael Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ivy Bluff Lunches with Love, 101 Wade Road, Woodbury, TN 37190.
