Monica Gayle Umphrey Davenport

McMinnville resident and Griffin, GA native Monica Gayle Umphrey Davenport, age 49, was born February 26, 1974 and died from severe diabetic complications on July 10, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville.            

A LPN in the home health industry with special needs children, she was the daughter of Brenda Hobbs of McMinnville and the late Johnny Umphrey. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandson, Landon Maxray Myers Gomar and sister, Katrina Warren. 

In addition to her mother, Ms. Davenport is survived by step-father, Herbert Hobbs of McMinnville; three sons, Austin (Cassidy) Gomar of McMinnville, TN, Riley Priest and Tyger Davenport and two grandchildren, Trinity Gomar and James Riley Priest, Jr.

Ms. Davenport will be cremated. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
