Myra Harriet Jones

McMinnville, TN resident and Flint, MI native Myra Harriet Jones, age 81, was born November 13, 1940 and died October 25, 2022 at the Webb House Retirement Center following an extended illness.           

A homemaker and member of Eastside Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Maxine Ashley Tosto. She was married to Claude Ray Jones on February 27, 1960 who preceded her in death on March 20, 2018. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Al and Jack Tosto and Rosaria Schaaf.

Ms. Jones is survived by four children, Carol (Waymon) Hobbs and Mary (Terry) Grissom, both of McMinnville, TN, Scott (Barry) Jones of Nashville, TN and Daniel (Terresa) Jones of Smyrna, TN; seven grandchildren, Andrea Stotts, Tiffany Sadlon, Kristen Summers, Toby Watts, Joshua Ogelvie, Mary Ogelvie and Brittany Campbell; twenty-two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Jim Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at High’s.
