Nancy Sandra Trail Carney

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Nancy Sandra Trail Carney, age 85, was born January 25, 1937 and died December 9, 2022 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.           

A homemaker and member of Central Church of Christ and Hwy. 56 North Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Novalee Reeder Trail, Sr. She was married to Thomas B. Carney, Jr. on May 6, 1956 who preceded her in death on August 6, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, George C. Trail, Jr.

Ms. Carney is survived by two daughters, Susan Carney Grandey and Charlotte Carney Vaughn both of McMinnville, TN; five grandchildren and spouses, Lauren and Jacob Bratcher of Signal Mountain, TN, Leah and Evan Pearsall and Chelsea and Brandon Lea, both of Smithville, TN and Trevor and Lindsey Vaughn and Marcus Vaughn, both of McMinnville, TN and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2022 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN with Wayne Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at High’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McMinnville Senior Center.
