Naomi Grace Bryant Cannon

McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Naomi Grace Bryant Cannon, age 96, was born January 3, 1927 and died February 26, 2023 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.           

A retired employee of Wagner Electric and McMinnville Garment Company and member of First Assembly of God, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Alexander and Lou Ella Stroud Bryant. She was married to Roy Eston Cannon who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, R.H. Johnson; brothers, Raymond, Arlis, Creed, John and Robert Bryant; sisters, Cecile Hillis, Rita Bryant and Rose Laws and daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Johnson.

Mrs. Cannon is survived by son, Wayne (Donna) Johnson of the Midway Community; grandchildren, Tisha Smartt, Robert Johnson, Tim Johnson, Trad Johnson, Jarvis (Stephanie) Johnson, Stacy (Judy) Keel and Alex Harper; great-grandchildren, Jonie Smartt, Mason Johnson, Kyle Johnson and Trevan Johnson and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Jarvis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Creek Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at High’s.
