Ned King, Jr.

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Ned King, Jr., age 81, was born December 30, 1941 and died December 9, 2023 at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. following an extended illness. A retired roofer with Bryant’s Construction, he was the son of the late Ned Samuel and Sarah Francis Brown King. He was married to Geraldine Scott King, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son, Ned "Tiger" King, III; step-son, Antonia "Tony" Scott; sisters, Dorothy May Carr, Jane Russell and Christine Crisp & brother, Jerry William King. Mr. King is survived by daughters, Patricia Dickson of Memphis, TN, Deborah Dillard of McMinnville, TN and Lisa King of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Lacreksha (Chris) Dillard, Caspious Dickson and Stacey Scott; two great-grandchildren, Amari Martin and Jamarcus Martin; two brothers, James Robert King and Willie Bob King; three sisters, Betty Sue Goodrich, Mary Ann (Charles) Johnson and Martha Herkley and several nieces and nephews. Per Mr. King’s wishes he will be cremated. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
