Nellie Lois Argo, age 81, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native was born May 19, 1938 and passed away January 2, 2020 at her residence following a brief illness. She was a retired LPN with River Park Hospital, a homemaker, baker, school bus driver, and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a member of the First Assembly of God. She was the daughter of the late Aubrey Lee and Mary Lou Burks Talbert. She was also preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Lee Wayne and Joyce Carr Talbert; daughter-in-law, Judi Mullins Argo; brothers-in-law, Rev. Gerald "Coy" Jordan and Rev. Kenneth McNatt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James C. and Jessie Freeze Argo. Mrs. Argo was married October 26, 1956 to Tyron Argo. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Gary Wayne (Kim) Argo of McMinnville, TN; daughter, Pamela Dianne Argo and Phillip Hollingsworth of McMinnville, TN; sisters, Olene Jordan of Georgia and Mildred McNatt of Fayetteville, TN; brother, Ray (Christy) Talbert of McMinnville, TN; brother-in-law, Boyd Wayne Argo of Memphis, TN; sister-in-law, Connie Sue (Earl) Hines of McMinnville, TN; cousins, Glenn and Shirley Burks, Hazel and Earl Barr and Tony and Faye Talbert; grandchildren, Janie Argo Guevara, Jackie Argo Hedge, Matthew Jones, Jessica Jones McVey and April McElrath. Several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews survive. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 in High’s Chapel with Sammy Lee and Daniel Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at High’s.
