McMinnville resident and Warren County native Oma Jean Rhea Norrod, age 75, was born December 16, 1942 and died July 19, 2018 at Raintree Manor following a brief illness. A homemaker and member of the Armstrong Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lenzie Rhea. She was preceded in death by husbands James Cooley and Jimmy Norrod. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by half-brother, John S. (Ernestine) Smartt; half sister, Lillie M. (J.C.) Clemons and sister-in-law, Judy Rhea.Mrs. Norrod is survived by a brother, Robert L. Rhea of McMinnville; two step-daughters, Michelle Nichols and Kimberly Nichols both of McMinnville; step-son, Michael Norrod of Clearwater, FL; eight step-grandchildren; four nieces, Diane Crouch, Nancy Lance and Linda Hamilton all of McMinnville and Debbie West of Sparta, TN; two nephews, Johnny Smartt and Phillip Clemons both of McMinnville; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Phyllis Norrod of Smithville, TN and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Jones and Paula Rogers both of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 in High's Chapel with Ray Weddington to officiate. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and 8:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High's.
