Patti E. Barnes

Morrison resident and Warren County native Patti E. Barnes, age 64, was born January 10, 1961 and died March 26, 2025 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

An employee of First National Bank and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charles Earl and Annie Ellen Prater Curtis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Sue Ellen Curtis and brother, Wayne Curtis.

Mrs. Barnes was married August 25, 1979 to Russell Barnes of Morrison who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Jeremy (Natalie) Barnes and Nathan (Tresta) Barnes both of Morrison; grandchildren, Aly, Nahla, Jera, Layton and Dominique and Madison Jones; siblings, Vicki (Rodger) Grieves, Lisa (Dexter) Wells and Lee Allen (Gail) Curtis; aunt, Eva Sue Bouldin; sister-in-law, Jeannie (Arlen) Boyd and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Derrick Stiles to officiate. Interment will follow at Bascom Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
