Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Phillip Lynn Gribble, age 87, was born June 2, 1937 and died October 29, 2024 at his residence following an extended illness.
A retired electrician for Magnetek and a member of Jericho Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Myra Grissom Gribble. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joe Gribble and David Gribble.
He enjoyed raising exotic sheep and goats as well as hunting arrowheads and attending church at every opportunity.
He was married to June Barnes Gribble of Rock Island, TN on November 24, 1960. In addition to his wife, Mr. Gribble is survived by daughter, Phyllis June Kamacho of Goodlettsville, TN; two grandchildren, Zacharey and Jonothan Kamacho; nephew, Mike Gribble of Old Hickory, TN and several cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Samuel Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
A special "Thank You" to all the special friends, neighbors and Gentiva Hospice that have been a tremendous blessing to the Gribble family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
