Phyllis Bounds Hillis

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Phyllis Bounds Hillis, age 74, was born May 15, 1950 and died June 19, 2024 in Signature Healthcare of Putnam County following an extended illness.

The retired owner of Nanny's Nest Daycare and retired employee of IOI, she was the daughter of Betty Bounds of Rock Island and the late Charles Fletcher "Jake" Bounds. She was married to Barry Hillis who preceded her in death.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by daughter, Alysia Hillis and fiancé Jeff Grissom of Rock Island; grandchildren, Kaeden Powers, Madelyn Powers and Ansli Womack all of Rock Island and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Brick House Cemetery with Jason Nunley to officiate. There will be no service or visitation at High's. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
