McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native Randal Wayne Smith, age 56, was born February 24, 1968 and died suddenly March 15, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. An employee of Yorozu and member of First Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Paul Harrison Smith and Betty Joyce Davenport Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandmother, Elsie “Munchie” Davenport; uncle, Joe Davenport and aunt, Jean McClung. He was married March 7, 2009 to Cindy Smith who survived him by one day. Mr. Smith is survived by sister, Karen (Joe) Martin of the Centertown Community; mother-in-law, Carolyn Whitlock of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Tracy (Gary) Coppinger of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews and cousins; a host of god-children; uncle, Jerry (Linda) Davenport and aunt, Faye Davenport. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in High’s Chapel with David Kilgore, Brian Whitlock and Tim Long to officiate. Interment will follow at Charles Creek Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
