Randle Floyd Hitchcock

Randle Floyd Hitchcock, age 93, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native, was born May 29, 1927 and passed July 7, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a retired farmer, a member of the Church of God, and the son of the late Horace Edward & Sophia Electa George Hitchcock. He was also preceded in death by first wife, Lucille Hitchcock; siblings, Olney, Euclid, Carson, Houston, Buford, Carl, and Kenny Hitchcock, Winona Sellers and Clarice Young; stepson, Johnny Taylor. Mr. Hitchcock was married November 25, 1986 to Maudie Mai Lawson Hitchcock of McMinnville, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Rickey (Shannon) Hitchcock of Rock Island, TN; five grandchildren, Randy (Lori) Hitchcock of Rock Island, TN, Jonathan (Allison) Hitchcock of Austin, TX, Jamie (Jamison) Stanton of the Short Mountain community, Joshua Taylor of Houston, TX, Jacob (Tyke) Taylor of McMinnville, TN; six great-grandchildren and brother, Alvin (Dot) Hitchcock of Smithville, TN. A graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Mt. View Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Page officiating. Military grave rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 173 Honor Guard. No visitation will be held at High’s.
