Ray Clendenon

March 3, 1951 — February 26, 2020

Ray Clendenon, age 68, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native was born March 3, 1951 and passed away February 26, 2020 at NHC McMinnville following a brief illness. He was a diesel mechanic with Ryder Truck Company, a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church, and the son of the late Charlie and Leoma Curtis Clendenon. He was also preceded in death by wife, Penny McCormick Clendenon and sister, Jewell Kesey. Mr. Clendenon is survived by six grandchildren, Jordan Paty of Murfreesboro, TN, Dylan Paty and Savannah Paty both of Smyrna, TN, Andrew Gipson, Mariah Gipson, and Issac Gipson all of Murfreesboro, TN; two great-grandsons, Jameson Paty and Caiden Paty; four sisters, Betsey Willis of Columbia, TN, Charlene Rhea of McMinnville, TN, Vivian Cutler of Rockwall, TX and Linda Templeton of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Doug, Brandy, and Kadenze Herrin of Viola, TN; special nephew, Ken Kesey of McMinnville, TN; many special friends including Nyla also survive. Memorial contributions may be made to Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 in High’s Chapel with Herschel Short and Ken Kesey officiating. Burial will follow in Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at High’s.
