Riche Churchill

McMinnville, TN resident and Dallas, TX native Riche Churchill, age 88, was born September 7, 1931 and died October 17, 2019 at her residence following a sudden illness. The magazine publisher for The Bugler and a United States Navy veteran of Korea, she was the daughter of the late Murray F. Boucher and Billie Jo Boucher Redd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William S. Churchill; life partner of 53 years, Andree' Louise Maddox; and sister Carol Byrd. She is survived by special daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Tony Jenkins of McMinnville and Lt. Col. Shannon Hughes and Lt. Col. James Hughes of U.S. Air Force Germany; two grandchildren, Dustin Morris (Christy Ayers) of McMinnville and Jennifer (Bill) Hobbs of Altamont, TN; four great-grandchildren, Serenity Nicole Bivens, Donovan Fowler, Lee Ann Hobbs and Serenity Faith Ayers; sister, Suzanne Redd of Tracy City, TN; brother, John Redd of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Riche grew up in Phoenix, AZ, moved to Tennessee in 1972 and later moved to McMinnville and has resided there since 1982. She was a publisher for 50 years of a world-wide dog magazine devoted to the Bassett Hound breed, and also was active for many years in dog rescue. She was a former ad compositor for the Southern Standard and Grundy County Herald newspapers. She was a semi-pro softball player in her youth and an avid tennis player from the age of 57 until she retired from the sport at the age of 80. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 in High's Parlor. There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "HAWC" (Helping Animals in Warren County) c/o 169 Paws Trail, McMinnville, TN 37110. Online condolences may be made to www.highfuneralhome.com.
