Robert Earl Harris

McMinnville, TN resident and Dekalb County, TN native Robert Earl Harris, age 81, was born July 30, 1940 and died November 7, 2021 at his residence following a short illness. United States Army veteran of Vietnam, retired owner of Four-Lane Auto Sales, and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Billy Marshall “Bill” and Lula Allison Harris. Mr. Harris received Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14) and Good Conduct Medals while serving in the US Army from October 22, 1963 to October 23, 1965. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant brother, Billy Wayne Harris and brother-in-law, Dwite Woodlee. Mr. Harris is survived by two sisters, Mildred Rigsby of Hixson, TN and Evelyn Woodlee of McMinnville, TN; half-brother, Billy Bouldin of McMinnville, TN; half-sister, Treva Manzano of Morrison, TN; two nieces, Shawn Rigsby of Hixson, TN and Brenda Gillette of Robertsdale, AL; nephew, Jason Woodlee of McMinnville, TN also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Ronald Powell and Cody Woodlee officiating. Burial will follow at Grange Hall Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
