Robert Edward Bonner

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Robert Edward Bonner, age 90, was born September 19, 1930 and died January 24, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. Retired from the Maintenance Department at Ben Lomand Communications, he was the son of the late Harrison and Frances Martin Bonner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Paula Bonner Mendoza; sons, Gene Bonner, Ray Bonner, and two twins; brothers, Frank Bonner, Tom Bonner, Tarlton Martin, and Harrison Jr. Bonner; and sisters, Dorothy Biles, Mary Bonner, Martha Robertson, Lillie Hill, Patty Sue Martin, and Betty Bonner. Mr. Bonner is survived by three children, Barry Lynn Bonner of McMinnville, TN, William Paul Bonner of Hawaii, and Mary Darrell of North Carolina; five stepsons; five grandchildren, Terrell Burton, Tynisha Bonner, Deon Fisk, Lemuel Darrell, and Kenya Darrell; four great-grandchildren, Xavier Bonner, Myiesha Goodrich, Jordan Bonner, and Alove' Willman; two great-great-grandchildren, Kiera Bonner and Brooklyn Bonner; sister, Evelyn Malone of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and very devoted loving friend, Jurrell Wood also survives. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Eugene Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday at High’s. The family request that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
