Rolling Asa Ferrell

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Rolling Asa Ferrell, age 81, was born October 30, 1943 and died November 14, 2024 at his residence. 

A retired employee of A.O. Smith and a member of the Church of Christ at St. Mary, he was the son of the late Fred and Edna Taylor Ferrell. He was married to Melba Leslie Templeton on July 26, 1963 who preceded him in death on December 2, 2022. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by great-grandson, Caleb Ryan Jones.

Mr. Ferrell is survived by children and spouses, Diane and Michael Jones and Fred Ferrell, both of McMinnville and Lesley and Chad Burks of the Centertown community; grandchildren, Ryan and Gwendolyn Jones, Macayla and Madison Ferrell, Makenzie Hullett and Thomas and Kayeden Burks; great-grandchildren, Madalyn and Cayleigh Jones and Ellis Majors; brother, Billy Taylor of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Pat and Lonnie Milstead and Ruth and Don Pitts, both of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews and cousins and special life-long friend, Gene Autry Fults. 

Per Mr. Ferrell’s wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2024 in High's Chapel with Tim Fariss officiating.
