Ronald Wayne Hillis

Ronald Wayne Hillis, age 60, a McMinnville, TN resident and Schaumburg, Illinois native, was born February 23, 1961 and died October 7, 2021 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. He was retired with the City of McMinnville as a heavy machine operator, a member of Dayspring Community Church, and the son of a special mother, Nancy Davis of McMinnville, TN, and the late Harvey B. Hillis. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Harvey Butch Hillis. Mr. Hillis is survived by wife, Rhonda Hillis of McMinnville, TN; brothers, Donnie Hillis of McMinnville, TN and Jimmy McGonigal of Colorado; sisters, Sharon Muzard of Illinois, Pam Hillis of Cookeville, TN, and Jodie Worth of Florida; several very much-loved special nieces and nephews, Paten Walker, Chevy Ware, Blake Walker, Dillion (Kaci) Morton, Chris Walker, and Tracy Turner; and mother-in-law, Sara Richardson of McMinnville, TN. Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County with Charlie Dodd officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at High’s.
