Sandra Fay Hillis

McMinnville resident and Kalamazoo, MI native Sandra Faye Hillis, age 81, was born July 26, 1942 and died July 1, 2024 at Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Manchester, TN following an extended illness. 

The retired owner of Check Exchange and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Ruby Joines and late Herbert Cagle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by special friend, Paul Ervin. 

Ms. Hillis is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Jill (Rick) Hobbs and Stephanie (Michael) Dunlap, both of McMinnville; son, Tracy Hillis of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Tristan Dunlap, Rylan Pierce, Cody Pryor, Dustin Hillis and Tyler Hillis; five great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Pryor, Nash Pryor, Wyatt Hillis, Rylee Hillis and Athan Hillis; brother, Bob (Elaine) Cagle; niece, Charliegh (Seth) Steelman and great-niece, Jo Ella Steelman. 

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville with Kevin Key officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
