Christiana, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, Sgt. Jerry Wayne Cole, age 69, was born January 8, 1951 and passed away November 9, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired veteran of the United States Air Force of Vietnam and retired technician with Sprint, he was the son of the late WWII Navy Henry Cole and Peggy Phillips Cole. He was in Vietnam when he turned 21 years of age. He was married to Brenda Faye Gunter Cole on September 8, 2012. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Walton Cole, Ruby Cole, Bob Phillips and Clara Phillips; uncles, WWII Navy Hugh Cole, Korean War Army & Navy David Cole, and Vietnam US Army Shirley Cole; aunts, Billy Jo Barrett and Johnny Clendenon; nephew, Daniel Cole; and brother-in-law, Donald Brady. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tracy Cole; three daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva and John McKelvey, Chandra and John Elliott, and Demetria and Ray Hale; eight grandchildren; John Weslee Elliott, Anna Lynn Elliott, Samuel McKelvey, Tyler McKelvey, Elijah McKelvey, Tristen McKelvey, Rose McKelvey and Elena McKelvey; five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Penny Cole; sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda Ann Brady and Tracey and Marty Davis; uncle, Doug Phillips; several nieces and nephews; best friends; John Gunter, John Morgan, Tony Menna and Mike Hoggard; and awesome nurse, Leeann Baker. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Grange Hall Cemetery in Warren County, TN with John McKelvey and Michael Cole officiating.
