Sherry Elaine Walker

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Sherry Elaine Walker, age 70, was born April 25, 1953 and died April 10, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of Eastside Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Hillis and June Farless. She was married to Paul Walker who preceded her in death on June 11, 2020. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Steve Hillis. Mrs. Walker is survived by three children, Chris (Rebecca) Walker of Hermitage, TN, Chanda (Michael) Yates of Rock Island, TN and Phillip (Tiffany) Walker of Ohio; granddaughter, Emily Malone of Rock Island, TN; sister, Stephanie Robb (J.D. Huggins) of Georgia and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday April 16, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Pastor Jim Hunt officiating. Per Mrs. Walker’s wishes, she will be cremated and an inurnment will be held at a later date at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at High’s.
