Shirley Eulene McGee Douglass

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Shirley Eulene McGee Douglass, age 75, was born August 13, 1946 and died July 21, 2022 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired educator of 36 years with Warren County School System and member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas “T.C.” and Mary Eula Haley McGee. Mrs. Douglass was a member of Warren County Retired Teachers Association, founding member of American Association of University Women McMinnville Chapter, member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Daughters of American Revolution, Warren County Genealogical Society and Secretary/Treasurer for the McGee family reunion. She was married for 56 years to John Douglass of McMinnville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant sister; sister, Louise McGee Nelson and brother, Howard McGee. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Douglass is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Tyson Brock of McMinnville, TN; two grandchildren, Allison Victoria Brock of Smyrna, TN and Jonathan Hunter Brock of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Clarence Allen McGee of Christiana, TN; brother-in-law, Tommy Douglass of Wisconsin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Janice Douglass of Georgia; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Central Church of Christ with Cody Boston and Tim Fariss officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at High’s.
