McMinnville, TN resident and Warsaw, IN native Shirley Mae Smith, age 74, was born June 19, 1949 and died May 1, 2024 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.

A retired employee of Timbercrest, she was the daughter of the late Herbert H. and Elnora Louise Bays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Sharon Johnson.

Mrs. Smith was married December 14, 1969 to Clarence Smith of McMinnville who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Tony (Valerie) Smith of Smithville, TN; grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Christopher Smith and Brittany (James) Barrientos; siblings, Patricia Duncan, Paul Bays, Brenda Hundell, Sandy Young and Gladys Allison and several nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, Mrs. Smith will be cremated. No visitation or services will be held at High's.
