Sue Dybdal "Granny Sue"

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native, Sue Dybdal "Granny Sue", age 85, was born April 30, 1939 and died August 12, 2024 at her residence following a brief illness. 

A retired secretary with John L. Cartwright Nursery and member of McMinnville Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Emma Kesey Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Tom Brown; son, Bruce Dybdal; brothers, Lenier Scott, Johnny Scott and Kent Scott and brother-in-law, Earl Dybdal.

Sue was married October 7, 1995 to Roy Dybdal of McMinnville who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Donna Dybdal of McMinnville and Virginia Morgan and Debbie (Wade) Parker both of Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Stewart, Mishea (Jimmy) Cunningham, Lacey (Thomas) Margeson and six additional grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Bethany George, Marissa (Coby) Mason, Hunter Fults, Braylen McCormick, Isiah, Aalyiah, Jordan and Colby Cunningham, Riley and Lillie Margeson and six additional great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, Mia Eldridge, Haisley George, Macayleigh Mason and Jasper George; special sister, Marcia Scott of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Bill Green of Michigan; sister-in-law, Paulette Ponce of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2024 in High's Chapel with Tommy Burke and Jeff Page to officiate. Interment will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County with Ronnie Powell to officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at High's.
