McMinnville, TN resident and Oxford, England native, Susan Ruth Hancock Barton, age 79, was born November 9, 1944 and died October 25, 2024 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
A member of Martin Chapel Fellowship, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Pamela Lovegrove Hancock. Susan was the face of McMinnville Animal Clinic for 40 years. She loved giraffes, gardening, fishing and the outdoors. She could be found almost daily walking the Riverfront Park trail. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Johnny Hancock.
Susan is survived by children, Stacy (Angela) Turner of McMinnville and Mandy Barton of Knoxville; grandson, Atticus Brooks; sisters, Patty (Kenneth) Little of Waverly, TN and Christina Hancock (Virgina Melton) of Atlanta, GA and special friends, Gary (Steve) Manchester and Jack Barton.
Per her wishes, Ms. Barton will be cremated. There will be no service or visitation at High’s.
