McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Tennie "Tenia Ma" Northcutt, age 95, was born March 16, 1929 and died May 22, 2024 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following a sudden illness.
A retired employee of the Carrier Corporation and member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Hassie Campbell Myers. She was married to Malvin Monal Northcutt who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Hassie Gail Mahar; special son-in-law, Wayne Barkes and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Northcutt is survived by three children, Rickie (Ruby) Northcutt of Manchester, TN and Debra Barkes and Tammie (Larry) Simons, both of McMinnville; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Kenneth Kirby and Phillip Luna officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at High’s.
