Terry Lynn Grissom

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Terry Lynn Grissom, age 71, was born July 23, 1952 and died March 11, 2024 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness. A retired home builder, he was the son of John Ann “Tooter” Deaton Grissom of McMinnville and the late Mason Grissom. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John and Amanda Martin Grissom and maternal grandparents, Claude and Nora McBride Deaton. In addition to his mother, Mr. Grissom is survived by daughter, Holly (Ward) Bushart of Nashville, TN; sister, Sherry (Ted) Grandey of McMinnville; nephews, Brent (Michelle) Grandey of McMinnville and Phillip (Trista) Grandey of Florida; great-nephews, Nick (Rebecca) Grandey and Nate Grandey of McMinnville and great-niece, Ava Grace Grandey of Florida. Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Friendship Cemetery in Warren County with Garry Barnes officiating. No service or visitation will be held at High’s. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org/). Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com. High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
