Thelma Lucille "Bill" King

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Thelma Lucille “Bill” King, age 87, was born September 9, 1937 and died January 24, 2025 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation in McMinnville following an extended illness. 

She was the daughter of the late John R. and Martha K. Smartt King and a member of the Baptist church. 

“Bill” is survived by brother, Johnny Douglas (Frances) King of Rock Island, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; numerous friends and special friend, Betty Cameron of Rock Island, TN. 

Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2025 at New Union Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at High’s. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery on Monday.
