McMinnville resident and Warren County native Virginia Pearl Beaty, age 83, was born January 5, 1941 and died December 29, 2024 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville.

A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Rayborn and Minnie Basham Henderson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Melvin Prater and Jerry Beaty;  children, Marilyn Lundmark, Jeffery Prater and Melissa Norris;  sister, Linda (Steve) Fitch and nephew, Michael Fitch.

Mrs. Beaty is survived by two children, Rayborn Prater of Manchester, TN and Keith (Tennille) Beaty of Beersheba Springs, TN;  thirteen grandchildren, Randy Mears, Jennifer Burton, Johnny Mears, Travis Prater, Rayburn Prater, Jr., Misty Prater, Shelly Odineal, Alex Prater, Kenneth Prater, Christy Smart, Sasha Norris, Austin Beaty and Marisa Beaty;  several great-grandchildren and many more family members.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at Mt. Zion Cemetery.  There will be no visitation at High's.  Family and friends will meet at Mt. Zion Cemetery for the graveside service.
