Virginia "Ginny" Olinek, a Rock Island resident, peacefully passed in her home with family and friends by her side praying, singing, reminiscing, hand-holding with hugs & tears. She very much enjoyed Scrabble and Yahtzee through the years, while being an avid bowler also. She was very well known for her amazing talents and hobbies, which included gardening, flowers, plants, woodworking, crafts of all kinds, sewing and handmade quilting, plus numerous material patterns/items. She enjoyed people while going out to eat and while co-running a booth at the Crossville Flea Market for many years. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Charlotte, Joyce, & Eve "Evey"; brother, Jim and grandson, Chris. Survivors include daughter, Jenna "Gina" and son-in-law, Elzie; son, Andrew Olinek; two sisters, Bernice and Troya; brother, Rick; seven grandchildren, Dan, Beto, Anna, Phillip, Stephen, Johnny and Nick; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, close family and friends. A celebration of life service and luncheon will be held in her honor on August 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at The Redemption Center, 127 Northgate Dr., McMinnville, TN 37110.
