Morrison, TN resident and Sequatchie County, TN native Wade Monroe Farley, age 81, was born June 18, 1942 and died November 21, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness. A veteran of the United States Air Force, retired employee of the Carrier Corporation and member of Morrison Church of Christ, he was the son of the late J.B. and Gertrude Farley. Wade loved to garden and have fresh vegetables, played golf and also loved playing with his grandkids. He volunteered at the Gathering Place and in Woodbury giving out food. Wade was the “fix it up” guy for everyone and loved to talk on the radio and to other people. He was married to Linda Farley of Morrison, TN on February 12, 1965. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Patricia Denise Farley and sister, Mary Farley. In addition to his wife, Mr. Farley is survived by daughter, Monica (David) Phillips of Fort Myers, FL; sons, Chris (Janet) Farley of Morrison, TN and Patrick Farley of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Cody (Hillary) Adcock, Lindsey (Brenton) Madewell, Tyler (Erin) Farley and Brooke (Austin) Young; great-grandchildren, Jaelyn and Jamison Munoz, Owen, Haley, Evan Adcock, Carolina Grace and Maylee Jayne Young and Stella and Levi Madewell; sister, Brenda (Bud) Curtis of McMinnville, TN; brothers, Randall (Carlotta) Farley of McMinnville, TN, Steve (Karen) Farley of Dunlap, TN, Johnny Farley of Virginia and Edwin (Patty) Farley of Pikeville, TN; aunt, Evie Jane Minton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Chris Perry and Arlis Markum officiating. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Meals on Wheels.
