Wanda Mae Cook

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Wanda Mae Cook, age 65, was born December 27, 1959 and died suddenly at her residence on April 5, 2025.

A Christian and retired employee of Nissan, she was the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Minnie Watts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Joe Watts, Donnie Watts and Rex Watts.

Ms. Cook is survived by children, Tonya (Michael) Smith of Rock Island, TN and Jacqueline (Isaac) Shehane of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jayden (Zach) Younglove, Dawson Smith, Trayce Shehane and Taylen Shehane; step-grandchildren, Jaythan and Jaylie Shehane; siblings, Betty Lee, Linda Smartt and Harold Watts; former spouse, Jackie Hayes, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.

Wanda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed the beach, baking and gardening.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2025 in High’s Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
