Wayne P. Baker

Wayne P. Baker, 57, a Warren County resident was born November 4, 1965 and died suddenly from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on August 1, 2023.

He was employed by the Rutherford County Maintenance Department. He most definitely loved his job.  

He was preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Kathy Baker. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer J. Baker; daughters, Danielle, Katie and Breanna Baker as well as his son, Austin Baker. He had three grandchildren, Madilyn, Cade and Makenzie Baker as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Dekalb County High School in 1986. He also graduated from TCAT and received his HVAC license on April 20, 2022. He had a passion for Elvis, Tennessee Titans football, wrestling and cookouts with family.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in High’s Chapel. Ricky Magness will officiate. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, August 7th from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, August 8th from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
