Warren County, TN resident and native Willie Mae Tittsworth Brown, age 83, was born April 3, 1941 and died August 8, 2024 in St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital following an extended illness.
A retired employee of Cato Corporation and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Gertrude Griffith Tittsworth. She was a life-long Atlanta Braves fan and the best Nana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Marie Tittsworth.
Ms. Brown is survived by children, Teresa Brown (Ed Brock) of Woodbury, TN, John (Carla) Brown of McMinnville and Tonia (Daniel) Velazquez of Justin, TX; grandchildren, Matthew (Kristin) Laxson, Daniel (Summer) Higgins, Joey (India) Laxson, Justin (Pamela) Higgins, John Brown III, Penny Brown, Austin (Patricia) De Leon, Mattie Mae Brown and Wesley Ray Brown; twenty-four great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Judy) Tittsworth; sister, Anitta (Mort) Morton; several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend, Marilyn McGee.
Per her wishes, Ms. Brown was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Christ's Family Church with Chris Young to officiate. The family will receive visitors Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. There will be no service or visitation at High's.
