Wilma Louise Cathey

Wilma Louise Young Cathey, age 93, a McMinnville, TN resident and Coffee County, TN native was born August 30, 1927 and died May 24, 2021 at Willow Branch Healthcare and Rehab in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness. She was a retired bookkeeper with the Warren County School System, a member of the Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Ruby Lee Freeze Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, J.N. Cathey; son, Preston Cathey; sister, Eloise Young Hillis; brothers-in-law, Buddy, Bill, Leon, Jerry, and Richard Cathey; and sister-in-law, Dot Hollis. Mrs. Cathey is survived by brother-in-law, Don (Martha) Cathey; sisters-in-law, Margaret Cathey, Dot Cathey, and Emma Cathey all of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and foster son, James Paige and family. Graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County with Bob Deason officiating. Friends are to meet at cemetery.
