Carolyn Sue Ashburn

McMinnville, TN resident and White County, TN native Carolyn Sue Ashburn, age 68, was born September 14, 1954 and died April 1, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following an extended illness.           

An instructor with Pacesetters and a member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Stanton Ray Manus and Arzella Turrington Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James and Larry Manus; sisters, Mary Ann Jett and Betty Hall and nephews, David Hassell and Johnny Conley.

Ms. Ashburn is survived by daughter, Peggy Sue Nash of McMinnville, TN; granddaughter, Kayla Nash of McMinnville, TN; sisters, Margaret Ann Hassell and Martha Jean Conley; special sister-in-law, Molly Manus; nieces, Margaret (Cruz) Alvarez, Zella Turner, Debbie Bretts, Betty Daniels and Betty (Jason) Wahn and nephews, Carl (Cheril) Conley and Herbert (Tina) Conley.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at High’s.
