Darius Michael "Reese" Bishop

Darius Michael "Reese" Bishop, age 33, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville. He was born January 3, 1986 in Ann Arbor, MI to Thelma Jean Grayson Bishop of McMinnville and the late James Alvin Bishop. He was a 2004 graduate of Warren County High School. He worked at General Mills in Murfreesboro, TN. He was known as "Reese" by family and friends. Darius "Reese" loved playing basketball. He was #23 on the basketball team in high school. He was known as "King Bishop" by his peers.  In addition to his father in 2007, he was preceded in death by niece, Danielle Capri Weir in 2018. In addition to his mother, he is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Christopher L. and Rita Weir of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Patrice A. and Danny Martin of McMinnville and Sonja D. Raines of Detroit, MI; special aunt, Debra Strodes and husband Ronnie; special uncle, Thomas "Tommy" Grayson and wife Deborah; special niece, Sharunda Weir; special nephew, Donta Weir; special friends, Gerald Roberts, Courtney Martin, Lee Ann Pelham, Michael Ellis, Justin Vaughn and Rapheal Simpson; and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m Saturday, January 19, 2019 in High's Chapel with Eugene Wilkerson officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
